A Message from Former NAIFA Anne Arundel President, Bob Davis:
As many of you know, I have been a member of NAIFA and our local Association in Anne Arundel County since 1999. Much has changed during that time – in the world, in our business and in our association. We are now considering some fundamental changes in NAIFA that will increase its value to each of us as a financial services professional. We’d like to share this news with you, and what is the best way to do so?
Throw a party. In our busy world filled with meetings, telephone calls, texts, tweets and emails, perhaps the most difficult task is to get everyone together in the same place at the same time. So, we have decided to schedule a happy hour in the Annapolis area, inviting every member of NAIFA Anne Arundel. This event will be free for all NAIFA Maryland members and former members. You may also bring a guest, such as a staffer, a colleague, or a friendly competitor, all on a complimentary basis (spouses are welcome as well). All you have to do is get there. Our business meeting will be brief, but we expect it will stimulate your conversation during the remainder of our time together.
If you are able to join us, we will share with you the changes taking place in our association at both the national and local levels. We will ask what programs and services you value as a professional in your field, and we have some ideas for new services to share with you.
We have reserved a room at the West End Grill on Thursday, October 19th from 4PM-6PM. The Grill is centrally located at the intersection of Route 2 and West Street in Parole. Parking is free.
This is your first notice of this important meeting. Current President Paul Reavis, Immediate Past President Michael Walden and I strongly urge each of you to attend. I sincerely believe that it will be time well spent for you, both personally and professionally.
